Missing Home....
I'm finally back from Paris!!...So glad to be home at last! 10 days seemed like 10 years manz! Ok, I know I'm exaggerating, but still...when you travel overseas, you'll tend to appreciate our tiny island and of course, your family and friends back home more than ever! It was a pretty tough trip this time round, probably coz we weren't very well prepared. There were some hicups here and there, a lot of "so-near-yet-so-far" kinda situations, losing our way, trying to adapt to their culture, different time zone etc. And not forgetting their not so friendly attitude. No doubt it is a beautiful place to visit, generally it is not a very safe and friendly place. Other than the LV, Gucci, Ferragamo...most or in fact all the things there are expensive! So I still blew a hole in my pocket on a Gucci Bag and Wallet. The price is already slightly cheaper and plus the 12% tax reabte, it's too good a deal to be missed. Guess that this time round I'll really have to munch on grass since I've enough of bread, bread and more breads for the past 10 days!
The exhibition was okay. Quiet but the enquiries we get are more genuine. On my end, it was more of a networking session with other exhibitors from other F&B industry such as Chocolate, Canned Drinks, Instant Saucers, Oil etc. Most of the bossess do not have airs around them so we actually hang out together after work for dinner, visit churches, see Mona Lisa, go up to the Eiffel Tower etc. Visiting the Louvre museum where Mona Lisa is 'staying' was the funniest part. Don't expect too much if you have intention to visit her. Anyway, her eyes really gives me the creeps as her eyeballs are indeed following you, no matter which angel you're looking at. I really had goosebumps manz!
We visited the Eiffel Tower and went all the way right up to the top! My legs really turned jelly while travelling up/down! It was scary but was worth the money and the scare lah! Heehee...Also managed to capture the flickering lights of the Eiffel Tower that takes place hourly from 7pm - 11pm. Very Very beautiful! It's really good to just sit or lie down on the grass patch enjoying the beautiful Eiffel Tower at night, with the cool breeze on your face. It's heavens! I guess that somehow cured me of my hyperventilation syndrome! Muahaha
As we were not able to fly back on the 28th, we had additional 1 more day for sightseeing/shopping. As I was already severly broke by then, sightseeing would be a better option. We took the city bus ride which took us almost 3 hours to the main touristy spots. It was a relaxing bus ride, where we sat on the open air upper deck to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenary.
Somehow the French food that we ate were not exactly very fantastic. Nonetheless, we still had Escagots, Onion Soup with cheese (which in this case is still quite yummy) and some strange tasting food lah. But the Kebab there is really good! But that's not French food lah. Also heard that the Vietnam food is really good over in Chinatown but it's too far for us to travel all the way there just to eat, so we gave that a miss.
There're just too many things to blog on for this trip but I guess, pictures speaks a thousand words! I'll upload and post it up here soon. Stay tunned! :D
