My 26th Birthday
It's a reality that I've hit the grand age of 26 today! *sign*...1 Year Older. Before I know it, I would have hit the no. 30 Soon! It's how scary time flies.
This year's celebration was indeed significant. No grand parties or whatsoever. Just hanging out with people whom I adore, and it was Fun, Fun, FUN!! My actual Birthday is today, but the celebration actually begins on Thursday! Haha.....One of my friends commented that my birthday is even more 'happening' than National Day! Week Long Celebration indeed! Heh heh.
Thursday was a simple but really very fulfilling, touching and yummylicious dinner with someone. Some words are best left unspoken. But I really really appreciate the simple gesture. The words and action he used that day are still imprinted clearly in my mind. Should I say, the Ah-Beng style of wishing someone Happy Birthday? Haha...But it's really memorable.
Friday was spent celebrating with my dearest past and present colleagues! My wonderful & usual gang whom we hang out monthly. And it was FULL attendence! I'm so touched ok! Some still came down despite being sick. But I reckoned that the yummy food @ Botak Jones would have made them well! Food is good, ambience is great and the service...not too bad lah. After all, the whole bunch of crew sang me Birthday song, gave me a handmade balloon. *touched lah* After dinner, we went down to Dempsey Hut for drinks. Nice cosy place where my evilish colleagues took turns to drown me with Hoegarden. Being a non-drinker, it's pretty tough ok! Fortunately they were 'kind' enough not to make me drunk though I was a little tipsy lah. All in all, it was enjoyable. And we were good motorists ok! We did not drink & drive! We all are Law-abiding Citizens!! *puke*
Saturday, which was yesterday was spent nuahing and resting at home till party starts in the evening! It's not exactly party lah....just dinner with my sis and buddies @ Suntec's Convenction Centre. Finally get to eat the steamboat!! Always absorb the aroma whenever we walk past there, so finally get to eat it yesterday. Food's pretty good and for that price, it's quite worthwhile actually. And I tell you, the Pork Belly is superly delicious! I was telling my sis & Clara that I think I've eaten the entire Pig! Clara was commenting that I'll have nightmares of Pig coming after me at night. *Thanks hor!*...Anyway after that, the real party or rather the countdown to my birthday was at this Family Karaok in Apollo Centre. Well, people who sings Jap songs will know of this place. Don't expect it to be like K-box coz it's kinda different.
I guess the pix can do all the talking, so I shall save my energy from typing! Haha....And I'll be having another celebration later on. This time will be with my family. After today, I'll be on full diet plan. No more excuses for pigging out much as I would love to. ^_^
To end off this blog entry, just to reminisce the good old primary school days. Not too sure if you guys remembers Little Tiger aka 小虎队 "红蜻蜓". Unfortunately, I'm not able to get the full version of the song. Nonetheless, the lyrics are pretty meaningful. Enjoy!
