PaintBall!....*Ouch*

Had a great day yesterday with my colleagues playing Paintball or rather, I would name it as PAINball! It's no fun getting hit by those paint bullets which actually causes brusies, tear your pants and Jeans or even blow up your brains if you're being shot at close proximity. No joke and being such a coward and a gu-niang me, I nearly wanted to back out after going through the briefing. But no. I'm glad I decided to stay to shoot the gun aimlessly, just to get the feel of it even though that means my team will be short of a *ahem* "warrior"! Yeah...like real. I'm really sucks at it since I'm bad in running, defending and shooting! So much so that my colleague aka team-mate, Ben Lim commented: "我感觉好像只有我们其他四个在射而已". Even the referee also gave up on me and asked me to stay put in that particular spot and just shoot will do. Muahaha.....Hey! but I got defend okay and I also kena shot hor! My swollen bruise can vouch for that! I also realised how unfit I am, panting and my muscles are aching all over just by running that few metres carrying the relatively heavy weapon. A sign of ageing and the lack of exercise.

It's a pretty fun game but really really expensive. Depending on the no. of rounds you purchase i.e. the no. of bullets, the total bill comes up to a grand total of $550+. So each person paid $50 since we have a total of 11 players. And the game lasts for approximately 3 rounds (45mins), depending on how fast you play the game as well as how fast you use up the rounds. But it was a really good experience. I wouldn't mind playing again if someone were to subsidise! *evils laughter*

In any event you guys wana go play, PLEASE wear thick long sleeves, thick long jeans, gloves will be good and maybe a metal cap! Muahaha.....It has been proven that failing to wear those of the mention will result in worst bruises and your clothes will be torn! Oh yes, and please wear cheap clothings as well. You wouldn't want your favourite pair of Levi's to be torn and tattered unless you want the ragged image. Poor Ben. He must be still very upset over his pair of favourite Levi's! Anyway, we had a real good laugh after the game, wondering who shot who, who hide where, and who got the most brusies. It's really a game of team work and strategy. No regrets playing. If only it is cheaper, we might have played more often. Nonetheless, had real good fun!

A Brand New Year - 01/01/2007

My first blog entry for the Brand New Year of 2007. Shall keep it short and sweet since I'm still feeling pretty zombified from all the New Year Eve's activities last night till morning today. Even though I've slept like nearly the whole day, it don't seemed to be enough. Maybe it's really time to admit that I'm *gasp* OLD already. *pouts*

No squeezing with the crowds, no viewing of fireworks, no party poppers etc. for the countdown this year as one of our friends just recovered from an accident whereby she injure her leg. So it's not advisable for her to walk around too much or to get stepped on by the thousands of people in any event if we decide to head down to the crowded places. So we just decided to hang out at TCC, the one @ Somerset, sipping our cup of cuppa, munching on some finger foods while playing UNO (Xiao Ding Dang one ok!) and laughing our heads off at the people on the streets playing with the foam spray. And of coz, we caught the police in action, catching people suspected of molest I guess.

We had a movie marathon. Watched Confession of Pain at 2.15am and then Night in the Museum at 4.30am. Both are great movies which are a MUST WATCH!! Infact, I watched Night in the Museum twice. Had wanted to catch Borat instead since I've just watched Night in the Museum only last week, but we were not in time for that show. And since everyone else have not watch the Museum show, I sacrifice myself lor...but of coz my dear Clara paid for me! Muahahaha....The 2nd movie ended around 6.45am and we're already 1/2 concussed. But we still headed down to Chinatown for Dim Sum at the ever yummy Red Star aka Hong Xing @ Chin Swee Road. Despite the fact that we're feeling really hungry throughout the movie, probably we're not used to eating so much at like 7.15am. It could also be due to the lack of sleep that the plates of Hao-Gao, Siew-Mai and Char Siew Baos etc. on the table just look like a bed that's all. Clara even had double vision, seeing 2 X'mas trees on the stage in the restuarant! Headed home around 9+am and concussed all the way.

Oh! Forgot to mention that I was at Orchid Country Club (OCC) in the evening with my colleagues celebrating New Year Eve before meeting my buddies. And now, thanks to them that I'm really hooked on playing UNO, so much so that I'm just gona get a pack of UNO cards as well as the Monopoly board-game (I'm dying to play that!!!) soon so that we can play them during Chinese New Year! Heehee...Yeah...Guess I'm entering into my 2nd Childhood.

Somehow this year's celebration, there seemed to be a tad of emptiness in my heart even though I had my close friends with me. It's a weird feeling that I can't explain. Mmm....maybe it's time to find a man! Muahahahahahaha......Oh well, I better get back to bed before I start spouting nonsense again!
