Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars......

Not too sure if you guys have seen the new Cafe Nova Ad yesterday, starring Michelle Chia...yes! That's her singing the very heart-warming nursery song: "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars".

Well, actually this ad is supposed to out much earlier, but due to some unforseen circumstances, it was delayed. And it's actually my 2nd time working with this babe. I tell you...I LOVE working with her. She's so easy to work with, very professional and more importantly, she's very Real! No airs around her, very witty and bubbly as well!

And yes, I had lots of fun learning some production work as well, such as the filming and recording process. Indeed an eye opener. Sometimes, I really love my job...coz I really get to learn a lot of other stuffs. More importantly, my job relates very closely to what I to study - Marketing!

Was very happy yesterday, coz the Marketing Manager from our subsidary actually praised me for the Asia Food Expo 2005 event. She knew that we did pretty well. Funniest thing is that she actually asked me how I motivate my guys to 'pia' so hard! Haha...Come to tink of it, I din do much leh...and I actually went 'crazy' with the guys. Prolly coz we had a lot of self-entertainment...work becomes play...and that could be one of the motivating factors? Hmm...I really duno leh. Building a good rapport with the sales guys is very important. I may be in charge of the event, but I dun believe in being autocratic. And I work as hard as the sales people, if not, doubly hard...muz set a good example mah. Else, how to motivate people rite??

Haiz...anyway, just as I thought I can shake legs a bit...I've oredi got several big projects coming up. Zzzzz....Was actually tinking of taking a break, but from the looks of it, not now I guess.

Launch of Harley-Davidson 2006 Models

Was @ the launch of the new 2006 models of the Harley Davidson bikes. Cool! Great nite of meeting up with all my biker friends. It's usually the same group of bikers. After all, the HOG (Harley Owners Group) is a relatively small community. So in a way, everybody knows everybody.

My Ever Lovely Uncle Jo...he's like a fatherly figure to me...alwaiz gib me a big warm hug whenever he sees me!

Din really take much fotos @ the launch actually, coz I was busy networking! Haha...Then went down to Orchard road to see the X'mas light up. Hmm...a bit disappointing leh...

Pai sei lah...Hands a bit shake, so quite blurr. Still, I tink the X'mas deco this year suxx!

Anyway, stayed tunned to your teebee this coming Thursday, 24 November 2005. Something interesting is coming up! Till then!...

Phew! I'm so glad that the Asia Food Expo 2005 is finally over! Went home quite late last nite as I have to make sure that all the stuffs are being dismantled and loaded properly back to my warehouse, since I'm the overall IC. The only thing I like working during Food Fairs is all the freebies/free food which other store vendors will give to us...or we will go exchange freebies/free food with our Kopi! muahahaha...Nah....this is call networking oso mah! I managed to kop Tai Hua Soya Sauce! To be precise, it's 2 bottles of light soya sauce and 2 bottles of dark soya sauce, then losta julie biscuits, Munchy biscuits, free herbal tea, chicken rice, Do-Do Fish/Sotong Balls, Sausages, snacks, bbq pork etc. There're really Sooooo many free food to eat there! Sometimes, when we are so busy until we do not have time to have a proper meal, we'll just munch watever free food is given to us. Like very poor thing hor??!! hahaa...

Anyway, I burnt a big hole in my pocket at the food fair as well! I tink I bght a mountain of food stuffs back! Let me see what I bought:

1. Bacon Bak Kua - From Mei Zhen Xiang. It's very delicious ok! But it's more expensive than the normal bak kua.

2. Bak Hu - From Xiao Tai Lang. The Bak Hu is different from normal ones, which is more fluffy...this one is like in a harder version which is like cubes and it's more crunchy. Very declicious, coz they left a free sample in our booth.

3. Nougats - My Favourite!...It's quite standard lor, they usually sell it 3 packs for $10.

4. Sunflower Seeds - It's a product from Thailand. Very delicious! Their booth is just located beside us, so as and when, we'll juz kop a handful of it and slowly munch! haha

5. Julie Biscuits! My all time favourite snack - The choclate wafer! And I managed to kop free potatoe chips as well! muahahaa...2 canister to be precise! *evils grin*

6. Some mischellaneous food items that I cannot remember! hahaa...

Tink my sis and papa almost fainted when they saw the amount of junk that I bought! Anyway, enough of Food Fair for now! It's really very very tiring. Keeping my fingers crossed that no more events coming up, even if it's a small scale one!

Oh ya! Me finally went to take the corny family studio foto last Sunday! It's Soooo funny! Even my parents found it amusing, coz it's so damn fake! As in, the way we were asked to pose, the way we smile etc. Anyway, waiting for the fotos to be ready then we'll go and choose.

Yeah! Will be attending the presentation by Mediacorp TV tml @ Westin. Let's see if got any yandao celebrities there or not! Haha...Till then, updates again when I'm free!

Driving Me NuTs!!

My title says it all! The aunties, uncles, ah-peks, ah-mas etc. are really driving me nuts at the event! Well, it's not my first time doing roadshows/events...by right, I should have been used to such ugly behaviour by them. Still, they really gets on my nerves! It's to the extend that I rather make coffee than to be out there serving the customers. In any event u see someone who's face is as black like charcoal or Justic Bao, at the counter pouring/making coffee...it has gota be me! And the worst customer service is also from me!! haha...but who cares! And there're even some who makes my life diffcult by not holding the small plastic cups properly and ended up spilling everywhere, and I gota clear up their mess! *Pissed*...And some are so kan-cheong, scare the kopi run away at the expense of me. Got 1 particular uncle whom I still remember...mi help him fill his kopi, then he snatched it away from me while I was still filling it up, thus scalded myself. The other aunties saw and asked me to be careful etc. Haiz...Human way of Life?...Probably so...

Sales was quite ok. Anyway, somehow the crowd for the November fair is usually quite quiet...oso duno why. Am suuposed to work only Thursday, Friday and Monday. Unfortunately, due to some unforseen circumstances, was recalled back to work yesterday. And it was definately a bad bad day, coz I somehow quarrelled with one of the Sales supervisor. It's over, so dun wana really tok abt it...but I really showed my temper and I guess the people there are all really shocked. Guess in life, it's really very realistic...it's quite hard to command respect from people if you're Young, Inexperience and a Female. I'm still learning...It's indeed not easy being a leader. Long way to go manz... *sign*

Fortunately, the sales team are still quite okay. All super funny guys and they made me laugh a lot with their craps, dirty jokes and all the nonsense they can tink of. Oh! Did I mention that we actually started singing "Wu Yan De Jie Ju" together?...Haha...duno why the organiser play that song, so we just sing along! Well, these guys made life seemed not so dull after all. There's still some light at the end of the tunnel I guess. And my dear gah-gah-meow also came down all the way with lotsa goodies and bears to visit me! muahaha...Mmm...sounds as if I'm in prison or what!

Peko's new found frens! Here's a closer look at them...

Ya...I noe I'm really bo liao...Here's a more bo-liao thing....

OMG!!! AH-KE WITH EYE LASHES!!!!

Here's an up close and personal look....

Don't worry...he won't blink his eyes at you...prolly he'll just say "Hi" to you! muahaha

Tink I'm really going Crazy...shall end my weird post here. Shall update again soon.

Asia Pacific Food Expo 2005

Gona tranform myself back to Kopi-Soh again. Zzzzz...Have to use the auntie lingo and tactic liao! *evils grin*...Hee

Today was the event set-up. Was sooo stressed out for the past few weeks. But I'm really lucky to have a great working team! And everything went on pretty smoothly only for a slight hipcup which has been resolved. *Phew*

Girl Power!!!...*My Wonderful Design Team!!*

Yes! I noe I looked really tired and pale. It was indeed a long and tiring set-up today! Imagine 6 freaking hours of non-stop physical work i.e. carry goods, stack them, climb up climb down etc. Ironically, I do enjoy it especially the end-effect looks quite nice. Haha

Need to catch some sleep now. Gona be another long and tiring day for the next few days. Till then!

A Fairy Tale Wedding

After 14 months of preparation,my brother's big day has finally come! Yesterday was a long and busy day for all of us. Anyway, it's gona be a long entry with lotsa pix. I'll try to keep it short. Hee...

Not too sure wat time my bro, the groom woke up. But my sis and I woke up at 6.00am to *ahem* beautify ourselves! muahaha....My brother's brudders all came at around 7.15am, where papa and mummy had already woken up and prepared breakfast for them.

These are my brother's Bestest friends, Buddies, Brudders, Xiong-Di...watever lah. But all of them have known each other for like...more than 10 years? Anyway, his friends all very funny one. Got 1 very poor thing, kena suan by me until jiajia-lat! *evils grin*

The Bridal Car!!...

Since my brother and sis-in-law got soooo many xiong-di and jie-mei, hence, sis and I were roped in to be drivers to pick up the bride as well. We took this shot before we set off to the bride's place in Woodlands!...Yeah...and it is exactly the same route which I travel to work everyday!

The Wedding Convoy finally arrived at the Bride's place!

The sabo-ing, bargaining etc. Starts!! My brother's poor brothers...all kena sabo oso. muahahaha....Sis and I juz stood there and laugh our heads off! The jie-mei oso got asked some "qian bian wen da ti", which moi helped my brother solved some! hahaa...coz I alwaiz got bo-liao ppl ask mi such questions, and thesedays, usually in the evening, 93.3FM will also ask such questions. No doubt it's quite bo liao lah, but quite entertaining. Hee...aft all, I'm quite a bo-liao person! muahaha...

I din take quite a lot of fotos on the sabo part, coz sis and I stood at a corner to be the audience! Hee...anyway, here're some of the task my brother and his brudders had to complete:

1. To collect 5 different types of hair to form the words: I Love You
- This was quite simple lah. Sis and I 'contributed' the hair from our head. The rest ah...tink his brudders contributed lor. But none of them got *gasp* chest hair!

2. Waxing!!
- This one ah...aiyo! my poor brother's leg kena 1 patched shaved off! Or should I say, waxed off! hahaa....This one no choice lah, coz the jie-mei insisted my brother to kena waxed!

3. The Unusual Breakfast
- This one still not too bad lah. His brudders helped him to eat and drink lor. According to his brudders, it din taste that bad lah!

4. The Lion Dance
- This one damn funny! They were given a red pail and red cloth...and expected to do a lion dance! Muahahaha...too bad for the jie-meis, 1 or 2 of my brother's buddies used to be lion dance trained! muahahaha...It was damn hilarious ok!!

Mmm...tink tats abt it lah. Can't remember liao. Oh! still got the coke drinking session. The more they drink, the lesser amount of ang-pow money they have to gib. But the boys are also very naughty lah. Then my brother also gota say all the good things of my sis-in-law, from A-Z before he can finally enter the room to pick the bride. Phew!!...It was followed by the tea ceremony, after which, we headed back to our side.

Eh...I just remebered that I dun hab the fotos for the tea ceremony @ home, coz it's in my sis digicam. Okok...so I shall skip that. So, the buffeat lunch was at our place. Then foto taking session...blar blar blar...until 1pm, sis and I set off together with my brother and my sis-in-law to the hotel to help them offload their stuffs, coz they got billion and 1 things to bring along. Anyway, sis and I had an appointment with Instant Glamour @ 2pm, to do our hair and make-up. Yeah!...We decided that we shall look glamorous for only 1 day! muahaha...so we took up the Best Friends package.

The end-effect!! I asked the make-up artist not to make mi look so fake oredi lah...so she was was really nice to gib me a more natural look. Mmm...my hair, I can't complain much lah. Coz I got very thin, little and flat hair, so I can't really do much nice hairstyle. *sobz* She can help mi style until like that oredi not bad liao.

My sis looked Sooo SeXy rite? *slurrps*....muahhaaa....This pix was taken in our brother's wedding suite. Yeah! Seemed like we were proposing eh?? muahahhaaa

Our task for the evening: To distribute the petals to the guest for the march-out after the solemnisation. And I even had a more stressful task i.e. to 'entertain' the JP (Justice of Peace), Mr. David Loh, whose a super friendly guy lah. Quite funny oso. But I din really entertain him oso lah, he so experience liao...I juz passed him the necessary documents, then make sure nobody steals the Mont-Blanc pens, and to take back the marriage cert after the ceremony. Stressful manz!

Mmm...I tink my brother quite yandao leh. Isn't he??...Muahahahhaahaa...Nah! I'm not being paid to say that leh, but I tink, buay-pai lah...oni got a bit of those "kien-pa" (i.e. kena beat by ppl) Look! hahahahaa

The solemnisation...which was held In Raffles Hotel, Gazebo @ The Lawn. Indeed a very nice and romantic place. The bride, together with her daddy...

Mmm...pai sei lah, from my seat, I can oni capture the back view! muahahaha...

HaPpY FaMilY!!...Taken after the solemnisation ceremony.

The Wedding Banquet, which is actually a Buffeat Spread @ East India Room. Yummy Food, with great music, ambience, lightings...etc. etc. It was small and cosy dinner, consisted of only close friends and family members.

Most of the time, the VIP tables is usually empty! muahaha...coz either both side of the parents are off to entertain the guests, or off to take food. Bride and Groom oso go entertain liao. So Sis and I decided to self-entertain ourselves, which is wat we usually like to do! heh heh...

Haha! Stole my sis-in-law's hand bouquet to pose pose!...The dinner ended early, which is good lah...everyone can go home early oso. Besides, sis and I had headache, prolly we were too tired, busy running here and there without any rest.

A Nice Fairy Tale Wedding...and here's wishing my bro and sis-in-law, Happily Ever Afer!

Very Interesting!

Hey Anonymous! Tks for the comments, which is damn hilarious! Mmm...u sound indeed defensive on this issue...and that makes me wonder if:

1. You are hitting your 30s'

2. You are still single

3. You are an MCP

4. You are a below average looking person

5. Someone you tried to court in the past left you with bad experience

Haha! No offence though. But actually, this is something which my brother forwarded to me and I just decided to post it up that's all. Well, I do agree that there're indeed such females out there, that you have pointed out...i.e. those who sees the outer beauty rather than the inner beauty. But you can't deny the fact that in our society, looks does matter to a certain extent. Anyway, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. I dare say that even guys also want to look for girls who are pretty, if not, at least pleasant looking. C'mon! Just face it...we're not living in this world of illusion! You have to realistic!

Being in the 21st century doesn't mean that WE have to make the first move. I actually have guy friends telling me that they get turn-off with females who makes the first move, and they don't feel comfortable with that. Maybe, it has got to do with a guy's ego. I don't know, coz I'm not a man. Anyway, I guess it's something very subjective, hence I shall not comment.

Sometimes, it's not a matter of being picky. Hey, we're toking abt looking for a soul mate or someone you can connect with. Looks aside, it still takes a lot of time and effort to look for the RIGHT one. That someone must have chemistry with you. It's not like using a stone and just throw, hit it, and take it! If that is the case, it could be one of the reasons on the rise of divorce cases then.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I guess my earlier post is actually what most females would agree. But please note that I'm not condeming guys out there, coz I do meet with really really nice guys. That said, there're also really nice gals out there. I believe that fate plays a big part as well. What will be yours, will eventually be yours. Good Luck to You if you're still single and searching for the right one! :)
