Life is full of Ups & Downs...seems that I've more Downs than Ups! However, Am glad to hab my family and friends who stood by me when I'm at my lowest point. Well, prolly tat's life. So unpredictable...
I'm superly irritated by someone in my office lately. Well, but there's nothing I can do much about it either, coz I'm only a small fry though I did grumble to my boss. Anyway, this person would be bugging me from the moment I stepped into the office all the way till evening. Well, I guess I'm not the only person facing this problem. But it really gets on my nerves at times, especially when I still have my own as well as other's work to clear up. And our poor design department...their workload also increased as they had to cater to this person's needs as well. It's such an agony, really.
We were just gossiping and analysing our male colleagues and we came to a conclusion: The 男人(s) in our office mostly are all C.M.I. (In case you're wondering, C.M.I. = Cannot Make It) That said, I've categorised them into the following:
1. 电梯坏男人 - This category of male colleagues got super duper serious mood swings, which is equivalent or even worst than our PMS! And they seemed to live in their own world, coz they don't seemed to understand what we are talking all the time. It's not as if we're speaking Tamil! Worst of all, they always 答非所问. In order to get an answer to your question, you either have to (a) Scream or (b) Shout at them. Otherwise, after beating about the whole jungle (bush is too small), you still won't get your answer.
2. 罗哩罗嗦男人 - It's pretty obvious that this category of male colleagues are super duper long-winded. For e.g. when you ask a simple question: "你吃饱了吗?" Their reply: "我跟你说hor...昨天我去巴杀买了blar blar blar...然后 blar blar blar..." Okay, I guess I don't need to elaborate further. You guys should get the idea.
3. 大小声男人 - This category one quite jialat. Always like to 呼呼呵呵 around. See/Hear liao also sianz. Sometimes really pity the other party who kena also.
4. Kay-Po 鸡男人 - No need to elaborate either. It's pretty obvious.
5. 色迷迷男人 - Preferbaly no low-cuts or body-hugging clothes to work. *rolls eyes*
6. 大男人 - Well, they may be 大男人, but we females can be quite fierce and tough as well ok! Dun pray pray! 我们不是弱小女子!! Heh heh
Okok...But they are not like that all the time lah and not all the male colleagues are like that either. Generally, they can be really really nice at times. Just that their behaviour at times really pisses us off! Haha...That's why whenever people call me or my other colleagues, the other party always thought that we're in the market coz in the background, is all the shouting and screaming, Male vs Female. It's a norm, which we've all gotten used to it anyway. It's actually quite entertaining at times. It's really like the Battles of the Sexes. Well, prolly that's our Company's Culture. Interesting eh! Hahaha
26 August 2006 marks the 2nd year where we graduated from school. I miss school...I miss the days where we skip lectures to sit outside the LT to bitch, to play pool, movies, shopping or simply to stay home and sleep. I miss the days where we go to each other's house to do project overnight. I miss hanging out with my buddies after school. And I definately miss those days in Aussie! Here's a short trip down Memory Lane.......Mmm...How I wished that I can turn back the clock now....
Disappearing from the office for a good 2 days = Accumulated work of x 8 days! Infact, yesterday I was already having my Monday Blues coz I know that today, I'll have a billion and one things to clear up. More importantly, I have an important press conference to attend - The Joint Venture Signing Ceremony between my Company and another Listed PRC Co., which was held at The Fullerton Hotel. Anyway, glad that everything went well.
Well....this is only the beginning of the week and I'm already feeling super restless. As what one of my galfren said to me today: "We have so many things to do yet so little time!"...This is So True! That poor girl, I guess she's worst off than me, having a zillion things to do! She was still doing OT when I left the office. Mmm...Guess we're all married to our jobs for now!
Anyway, I spent most of my time during my off day Eating, Sleeping, Shopping and Watching Teebee. It's like a circle. Ok...a sinful circle to be precise. Heehee....But that's life what, isn't it!!?? Don't dare to calculate the damages done for the 2 days of intensive shopping. But I'm a happier person after that though my bank account is feeling otherwise! Unfortunately, did not manage to catch as much sleep as I would want to as my biological clock is permanently set at 7.30am.
Looking forward till the next Public Holidays or Off-Days. Right now, gotta start my engine running again for the tough roads ahead. Till then.
Ohhh!!...I'm so in love with this song now even though I do not have anyone to marry right now! Haha...It's so fairytale like though some parts of the lyrics is kinda crappy. Unfortunately, YouTube only have the 2nd half of this song. Nonetheless, still wanna post it up. Luckily managed to get the full lyrics and MP3 version. Thanks to my song supplier. You know who you are! *winks* Thank You! Heehee
At last, I can be a Happy Gal for the next few days! Here are the reasons:
1. Just completed part of a major project, which is so super tedious that even when I sleep, I either dream of my Sales Manager or the products haunting me *Scary* ....... Anyway, need to rest my brain cells for now before the haunting comes again next week!
2. It's Official! We can legally use MSN in the office now! Muahahaha....All the while it's illegal to be using MSN in the office though most of my colleagues are using it anyway. Sometimes, it's a really good way to work actually coz usually email will have limitations especially when you need to send files which is like 10MB at times. Well, I used it for a while when I first joined the Company, but I don't like the feeling of having to use it sooo discreetly. So I just got used to not using it altogether. So when we have the "MSN Permit" yesterday to download, it actually felt strange using it in the office. But it's definately an easier way for my boss to leave msgs and vice versa. Of couse, we must not abuse it and let it affect our work lah.
3. I finally have my long awaited and deserved break after slogging for the past 5mths! Though I'll not be going anywhere, it just feels good to be away from work for a while, even though I know after the short break will be the start of another busy periods ahead again. It's like a cycle...But that's working life anyway.
4. Will be going for food and shopping theraphy with my sis today. Long time never go out par-tor with her, coz it seems that either our schedule clashes or we are too lazy to hang out! Haha...today is a good day though.
Then yesterday met up with my colleagues for our monthly makan/bitching session. I felt so bad letting them wait for me as I worked till quite late to clear up my work and I was sooo tired by then. But thanks to them who gave me back my sanity. Our laughters were so loud that I think we were the noisest diners around! We went to Bliss, in Punggol Park. It's quite a nice place to hang out though parking is a problem. Limited lots so you'll have to park opposite the block of flats then walk over. Food is okay, except for the Chocolate Fondue. It sucks! DO NOT ever order it if you happen to be there!
Oh...btw, careful when you guys kena bitten by mosquitos! Coz our poor maid recently kena Dengue and was hospitalised for 4 days! Think she will be discharged today. And forget the old wives tales where people were saying that if you have a history of having dengue before, chances of getting it again is lower. It's not true ok. Coz she kena before back in her hometown before where she nearly died and then now kena again. Then according to my sis who read up on the internet, there're actually 4 types of dengue virus. So she might be immune to only 1 type of virus but there're still 3 more types. Okay, I know that sounds chim. Anyway, glad that she's okay now. Hmm...that means our area got the evil mosquito flying around! Evil mosquito must bite evil people! Leave harmless people alone! *shoooo....U evil mosquitoes*
Okay, I know I'm going cranky again! Till then. Time for relaxation! *Yippie*
The world is indeed really small. Last night I actually caught someone with another woman! Read. This man is married with wife and kids. Muahahahaha....Anyway, I shall not elaborate too much though I'm somewhat still trying to recover from the shock. And none of my family members actually believed me, especially my brother. Well, can't really blame them though coz this guy looks really charismatic for his age and he looks every sort of those family man that you'll want as your hubby. But my impression of him definately dropped after yesterday. Nah...I can't be bothered too much also coz it's not my problem...but it's pretty obvious that he and his wife are not on good terms anyway. Hmm...seems that extra-marital affairs is like a norm thesedays. I'm kinda getting skeptical about getting married in future i.e. provided there's someone who's willing to marry me in the first place lah! Muahahahahahah...
Side-track a little. Sometimes, the problem with me is that...I like to know about a person's past. Yet, when I'm being told about their past or rather the honest truth...I don't seemed to be able to take it very well and yes, the truth hurts. No doubt it's a history but then, am also still trying to recover from the shock and confusion that I had caused for myself. If only I had not causally asked that stupid question...maybe things might have been different. But I guess it was an answer which I didn't expected it to be. Now it really makes me wonder that probably, the only surviving good men around will be my Papa and perhaps, some of my buddie's daddy. Period.
You are an intreguing mix of girl and woman. You're feminine, quiet, and a total mystery to most men. Yet they often feel the urge to protect you, even if they don't know you. You *are* a flirt, but you usually only flirt with those you know well
You're constantly adding to your wardrobe - and it shows However, you can show some restraint. You love good deals. Your love of the clearance rack has paid off... You probably have only maxed out card or two, if at all!
I was at the Superband Grand Finals yesterday @ the Singapore Max Pavilion giving our FREE kopi and some premiums of our product, but I didn't attend the finals even though I had seating tickets. Nah...maybe I've been following and attending all the roadshows until I just get tired and sianz already. Besides, the group that I like - BRODS are out of the competition already...so nothing to motivate me to watch it! Heehee...Anyway, I did not realised that this time round, it's based on 100% votes from the audience as compared to previous rounds i.e. 30% judge's decision, 70% audience's votes. Hmm....well, at least 迷路宾 they are still quite good lah. Quite talented and at least, they do not have much of an attitude problem, unlike J3, where I felt that they think too high and mighty of themselves. *shrugs*
While on the way to catch the movie Click with my buddies, I managed to catch the whole fireworks display near Esplande, or rather, Opposite Marina Square all alone by myself! Actually I was really very lucky, coz we had wanted to meet up in Suntec for movie...then I had forgotten that last night was the 1st fireworks display, so I got caught in the bloody jam hence we decided to watch at Cineleisure instead. The whole stretch of road near Marina Boulevard pratically came to a standstill and lucky me...I managed to stop right before the bus-stop outside Esplande to catch the fireworks! It's actually the 1st time in my entire life to watch fireworks alone...but somehow, I do enjoy that moment in time alone enjoying the fireworks.
Oh ya, speaking of the movie Click, I would strongly recommend you guys to watch it. Watch the trailer below and like most of the people out there, would think that it's a comedy....crappy moive, you laugh your heads off and that's it. Actually, there's a very very meaningful storyline behind it. Watch it and you'll know what I mean. A pretty good movie which is funny, yet touching.
I also caught Too Fast Too Furious 2 - Tokyo Drift last Thursday. Movie was okay lor. Go watch if you're there to see Cars and Babes lor. Muahaha
And finally, the smell of a Public Holiday is finally here after Sooooo many months! Wah lau eh! Such a long wait! If only 7th month got 1 whole month of holiday as well....7th month mah, should stay home and not go out...Ya! Dream On eh! Oh well, time for a Sunday nap! Zzzzz
